There is a concern that deserves attention. You do not need to investigate or prove what happened before seeking guidance or reporting the concern.
Racism, discrimination, bullying and harassment are also valid safeguarding concerns and may require reporting even when there is no immediate physical danger.
What you can do now- If you received or observed the concern, record objectively what happened, when, where and any relevant words used. Do not interpret or investigate.
- Use the organisation’s safeguarding or welfare reporting route where available.
- If the safeguarding lead is involved or there is a conflict of interest, use a designated alternative or higher route.
GR Safe Sport does not receive reports or store your responses.
How this guidance is builtIf there is immediate danger or serious risk of harm, contact emergency services or the relevant authority where you are.
